The system had a code name which was Nitro and this particular code name can also be seen in the model number appearing on the unit and is NTR-001. The console's name mainly refers to "Developers' System", in accordance to the developers of the new game designs of the system. These new games were meant to inspire and the "Dual Screen" is the system's most obvious as well as most distinct feature.
